Every inch of the Boxer Hill manor house has been refurbished, enlarged, replaced or repaired over the last ten years. The only thing unchanged is the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountain view off to the west from the house's elevated building site.
The main level has a new bath for the fifth bedroom, a totally gutted and rebuilt kitchen, and a new sunroom opening to the kitchen. Hardwood flooring replaces carpet, the walls have modern muted colors and there is now a whole house generator.
Upstairs all three baths have been gutted and modernized. The Master bedroom fireplace has been converted to propane and its bath has a six foot jetted tub and a separate glass shower. The laundry is upstairs to serve the four bedrooms on that level.
The walk out basement is now finished with a billiard room, a sewing room, a work out room, a bath, a large family room, many storage closets and one cedar lined.
Tucked into the side of a gentle hill lays a heated kidney shaped swimming pool with submerged benches along its sides and a pool house.
The property was a cattle farm before 2004, but now there is a lovely four stall (14X12 each) center aisle stable with a kitchen & bath in the lounge and stairs leading from the paneled tack room to the loft. Placed around the farm are a riding ring, a round pen, a jumping field, and trails throughout the wooded sections with rustic cross country jumps. The property is well watered with a creek, a pond and Carters Run meandering along the western side. This is a neighborhood of foxhunters and pleasure riders who have put together a wonderful ride out with permission from adjoining farms.
